2009 DELEGATE Allotment |
Election of CPCO Delegates
Dear District Representatives,
The delegates to the CPCO Annual General Meeting represent all the members in their district school board. The delegates are allocated according to the CPCO Constitution (below).
5.1 The Regular Members shall elect Delegates from amongst themselves based upon a ratio of 1 Delegate for every 40 Regular Members or part thereof in each Catholic District School Board in Ontario. In addition, each member of the Executive Council, with the exception of the Executive Director and Deputy Director, shall be an ex officio voting Delegate. (February 2005) (March 2008)
Allocation of Delegates
- The table below is posted on the CPCO AGM web page.
- The number of delegates is not allocated by panel. However, the members in a district school board that has more than 1 delegate may elect delegates from each panel if they so wish. In such a case the number of delegates is based on the total number of members in the district school board, not the number of members in each panel.
- Notwithstanding the possibility of delegates from different panels, delegates represent the CPCO members in the respective district school board.
- Accordingly, the CPCO Constitution ensures that all CPCO members in a district school board have the opportunity to elect their delegates.
- In naming your delegates for the 2009 Annual General Meeting please ensure that all members in your district school board have the opportunity to participate in the election of their delegates.
