Deputy Minister Attends Executive Council Meeting

January Executive Council Meeting

The CPCO executive council met as scheduled on January 23 - 24, 2009 to convene the business of the organization. We welcomed Clara Pitoscia back to the executive table. Clara was appointed to the vacant position of past-president of the executive council in an effort to assist her in her transition to the role of deputy director in September, 2009.

Deputy Minister of Education, Ben Levin met with the executive council and professional staff on Friday, January 23, 2009 to discuss items of interest and concern. Members of the executive council drew his attention to matters regarding safe schools, supervision, funding for principals and vice-principals and the future of Catholic education.

Members are reminded that approved minutes of all executive council meetings are available on the CPCO Private Members website.

Standing Committees Meet

The work of the five CPCO standing committees is guided by related action items of the CPCO Strategic Plan. Committees provide information and feedback to the executive council on a number of matters.

Many thanks are extended to the members of these committees as well as those representing CPCO on external committees for sharing their time, talent and expertise in an effort to aid our organization.
