PRESIDENT'S JOURNAL

The Stage is Set

The CPCO conference being held in Windsor from April 22-24, 2010 is one of the largest conferences for Catholic school principals and vice-principals in this country. The conference theme Embracing Our Catholic Vocation, speaks clearly to our belief that as Catholic school leaders, we are called to the complex work of leading our schools. To this end, we recognize that the struggles and labours of our work will ultimately lead to a better world; one that is formed in the image and likeness of our compassionate and loving God.

A sincere note of gratitude goes to the organizing committee from the Windsor-Essex Catholic principals and vice-principals’ association. This team’s dedication and commitment has been second to none throughout the preparation for this conference which started in the fall of 2008. Co-chairs Karen Drago, Joanne Shea and John Ulicny and their team are to be congratulated for moving the vision of a Windsor-hosted conference from concept to reality.

The conference promises to be a superb experience for the 350 registered participants. Workshops being offered support our role in leading student achievement and faith formation for the students and staff in our school and board communities. Friday night’s gala dinner will cap an exciting day of learning and networking. More than 400 participants and guests will join together to celebrate the achievements of CPCO’s 2010 award winners. We congratulate all members for their continuous efforts to promote Catholic education and student achievement.

The stage is set…see you in Windsor!
