PRESIDENT'S JOURNAL

From the Grassroots – CPCO’s Standing Committees

CPCO’s five standing committees have been busy at work over the last several months. Local associations from across the province have been well represented on each of these committees. Tremendous progress has been accomplished by your representatives. The Constitution, Finance, Professional Services, Political Action and Member Security committees provide important input and recommendations to the executive council regarding the operation and direction of CPCO. Members of committees give personal time away from their families to meet on a Saturday at the CPCO office in Toronto for this crucial work. Committee members are to be congratulated for their commitment and service to CPCO, thus ensuring that the association remains focused on its mission statement and core mandate of service and advocacy for principals and vice-principals across the province.

The work of the committees is detailed in the Policy for CPCO Committees, found in the Private section of the CPCO website. Also available in this section are the executive council minutes of August 13-15, 2009 which includes the appointment of the executive council liaisons and the committee chairs. The complete list of committee members is available on the CPCO website.
