Regional Principal Networking Session for Ontario’s Early Learning Programs (ELP’s)

The Ministry of Education has released the dates for principal networking sessions for those principals who will be implementing ELP’s in their schools in September 2010.  The sessions are designed to bring all principals of ELP’s together by region to receive some helpful information and advice from colleague principals as well as to share experiences in the planning and delivery of full day programs

The meeting dates are as follows:
Sudbury/North Bay region - February 8, 2010
Barrie region - February 9, 2010
London region - February 10, 2010
Ottawa region - February 11, 2010
Thunder Bay region - February 12, 2010
Toronto region - February 18, 2010

Additional networking opportunities are being planned for the near future. It is hoped that these sessions will provide principals with the necessary information for a successful start-up of the programs in the fall. There are still many unanswered questions that CPCO has identified for the Ministry implementation team. We are looking forward to conversing with Assistant Deputy Minister Jim Grieve who is overseeing the ELP implementation. He will address the Council of District Representatives at the CDR meeting on Friday, February 19, 2010 in Toronto.
