CPCO Professional Staff Changes

The Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario congratulates Barbara McMorrow, Director of Professional Learning, on her appointment to the position of Executive Corporate Secretary and Senior Board Liaison Officer with the Toronto Catholic District School Board effective June 1, 2010. Program Director Patty Orecchio will be leaving CPCO at the end of August. Patty's three year secondment from the Durham CDSB has come to an end and she will be returning to a principal’s position in September. More

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

Summer Institute

CPCO in partnership with OCSOA is offering summer institutes focused on developing mentoring and coaching skills. Initial training takes place on Aug. 16-17, 2010. Those who received training in Aug. 2009, are eligible for the Going Deeper session on Aug. 18-19, 2010. Both sessions will be hosted at the Toronto Marriott Eaton Centre Hotel. Register online.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Director of Professional Learning

The Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario invites applications for the position of Director of Professional Learning. The successful candidate will be a Catholic principal or vice-principal who is currently a member of CPCO or who has been a member of CPCO and is no longer in the employ of a school board. This is a 2-year seconded or contracted full-time position with commensurate salary for the period of September 1, 2010 to August 31, 2012 with an option for renewal at the discretion of CPCO. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Professional Learning is responsible for the development, coordination, delivery and financial management of CPCO’s professional learning programs and services, the Catholic Principal’s Qualification Program and CPCO’s annual conference. Complete application packages must be received at the CPCO office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2010. Interviews will be conducted for selected candidates in late June.
