Meeting Our Members
Visiting Renfrew CDSB

Last week I drove from Toronto to Barry’s Bay, near Algonquin Park for my first association visit with the principals, vice-principals, senior administration (and a few trustees during the evening) from the Renfrew CDSB. What a pleasure and honour to be in community with this “Leadership Team” from Renfrew.

Despite the cool weather, the warmth and good spirit of this group was evident. I couldn’t help but think how wonderful this event was for the leadership team of Renfrew Catholic. Building relationships with and supports for each other is obviously crucial to this group as they work together to meet the challenges of the school year and strive for excellence in Catholic education.

If your board has a similar model of community building for its P/VP’s, I’d like to hear about it. Please consider e-mailing me your experiences in building community.

On behalf of the executive council and the staff at CPCO, I would like to wish all our members and their families a happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Table Prayer

O Gracious God, we give you thanks for your overflowing generosity to us. Thank you for the blessings of the food we eat and especially for this feast today. Thank you for our home and family and friends, especially for the presence of those gathered here. Thank you for our health, our work and our play. Please send help to those who are hungry, alone, sick and suffering war and violence. Open our hearts to your love. We ask your blessing through Christ your son. Amen.
