PRESIDENT'S JOURNAL

Keeping You Informed

As the presence of students breathe a vibrant life into the formerly vacant school buildings of the summer, a certain clarity evolves as to the real purpose of our duties as servant leaders in our principal/vice-principal roles. These young people walk through the doors of our school communities with mixed emotions after a summer holiday. And so it is, that principals and vice-principals in Catholic schools across the province find themselves at this time of year, front and centre in providing all members of their communities with a sense of hope and assurance of a year that will lead to achievement and success. Throughout the year, CPCO will continue to provide communication that supports your role as principals in schools. These weekly e-zine publications for instance are intended as quick snapshots of information which we believe might prove useful to you in your roles as school administrators. Its format is intended for a quick read that acknowledges and accommodates the hectic schedules of principals and vice-principals. Publication of the e-zine occurs every Wednesday afternoon. Please know that comments and questions about its structure and content are always welcome.

Website Redevelopment

Later next week CPCO will unveil its new website which is currently in its final stages of testing. Some of the highlights include:

These webpage developments are part of CPCO’s information-technology upgrades intended to help you more readily meet the demands of your role. Once again your feedback regarding these and other CPCO initiatives are always welcome. You can either do this by e-mailing me directly, communicating with CPCO staff or by speaking to your District Representative.

Regards,
Paul Lacalamita
