PRESIDENT'S JOURNAL

Christmas Greetings from CPCO

Where has the time gone? It seems like school just started and now Christmas is around the corner. During the season of Advent principals and vice-principals have been preparing their Catholic school communities for the coming of Jesus. We know that Christmas is a time for all of us to open our hearts to Jesus and his gifts. As a Catholic community we also have our distinct nature and uniqueness to be thankful for at Christmas.

The past four months have been extremely busy for our principals and vice-principals. As I have continued my journey across the province visiting the different associtions, I am always impressed by the professionalism, the concern and caring demonstrated by principals and vice-principals for their students and staffs. Christmas is also a time for a well deserved rest. On behalf of the CPCO executive council, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a holy and happy holiday, and may God’s grace be with you as you celebrate Christ’s coming with your family and friends.

Christmas Prayer

O sweet Child of Bethlehem,
grant that we may share with all our hearts
in this profound mystery of Christmas.
Put into the hearts of men and women this peace
for which they sometimes seek so desperately
and which you alone can give to them.
Help them to know one another better,
and to live as brothers and sisters,
children of the same Father.
Reveal to them also your beauty, holiness and purity.
Awaken in their hearts
love and gratitude for your infinite goodness.
Join them all together in your love.
And give us your heavenly peace. Amen.
