CPCO Student Scholarship Award

The Catholic Principals’ Council Ontario Student Scholarship was instituted in 2019. The scholarship consists of $1000 and a piece of art with the CPCO logo, the award's title and the recipient's name etched on the base. 

Criteria

The Scholarship is presented to a graduating student who exemplifies strength and passion in service, advocacy and leadership. This individual demonstrates community and church engagement, displaying integrity, selflessness, courage and determination. The recipient's generous and kind spirit has positively touched and supported their peers. This student has demonstrated Christ-like care for others through their positive actions, attitudes and commitment toward student staff and the school.

Selection Process

The student Scholarship recipient is selected from applicants recognized by their Catholic Secondary School as the Catholic Student of The Year through the Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario (CEFO).

The recipient is announced and presented at the annual CEFO Fr. Fogarty Dinner in the fall. 

Application Process

  1. Each Catholic Secondary School identifies their CEFO Catholic Student of the Year recipient by June 1 each year. 
  2. CEFO Catholic Student of the Year recipients apply directly to CPCO for the scholarship.
  3. Applications are due to CPCO by September 1  
  4. Executive Council selection of the scholarship recipient to occur at the September Executive Council meeting. 

2024 Application 

 

This year, the scholarship will be awarded to two graduating students.
