Update: LTD Brochure 2026

 

The Long Term Disability (LTD) Plan has been updated with several new enhancements, including:

  • A 10% decrease in LTD rates

  • A two-year rate guarantee until September 1, 2028

  • An 8% rate cap for years 3 and 4

  • Expanded open enrolment options

  • Base Critical Illness coverage increase from $2,500 to $10,000

  • Out-of-country coverage increase from 60 days to 90 days without prior approval

 

Life, AD&D and Critical Illness coverage

The premium schedule for Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, and Critical Illness Insurance remains unchanged for the 2026 renewal year.

If you are moving into a new age band effective September 1, 2026, your personalized renewal letter will include your updated deduction amount.

In early July, you will receive an email notification letting you know that your personalized Confirmation of Renewal letter is available online.

This letter will include information about:

  • Your current plan selections

  • Your new monthly deduction

  • Any beneficiary information on file, if applicable

Please review your letter carefully to make sure your coverage information is accurate and up to date.
